Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Wall Street Theater has re-emerged as a 501c3 non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide diverse programming and promote arts education, thereby enriching the cultural life of the greater Norwalk community.

The theater will be the first next-generation venue in Connecticut to provide arts enthusiasts with a true transmedia experience, igniting seamless storytelling across multiple media channels.  Offering live shows, interactive entertainment, cinema, digital productions, art space, and a community arena in which to play, the Wall Street Theater is poised to be the where to go destination in downtown Norwalk and a cultural asset for Fairfield County.

The Wall Street Theater has enjoyed an illustrious history, involving numerous prominent community members and physical renovations, along with several transitions in identity in its time.  Originally, The Regent opened its doors in September 1915. The Regent featured live vaudeville acts and the biggest "talkies" of the era, and showcased a large colorful marquee at the front entrance, which has since been removed. The Regent hosted many important performers and occasions. John Philip Sousa, Lillian and Dorothy Gish, John Barrymore, and Mary Pickford are just some of the stars that graced the stage during its first decade. Over the years, the space has had many names: The Norwalk Theater; The Marquee; The Globe; and The Roxy.

The Wall Street Theater adopts its moniker from its location and its mission from its history, combining live shows, interactive entertainment, cinema, digital production, art space and a community arena in which to play. The Wall Street Theater is poised to be the where-to-go destination in Norwalk, if not all of Connecticut.
